The View Outside My Window

The sneezing is totally worth it. The fact that I want to go to sleep at 5 p.m. - not so much.

I've been thinking...

... about short hair for spring. It's time for something new and all this cold weather hasn't exactly been kind to my hair. Currently I have no plans to go blonde. It works for supermodel, Britt Maren, but I'll think I'll stick with my natural color for now.

So Close

I'm still dreaming about the Marc by Marc Jacobs dress I posted about yesterday. But there is no way I can justify spending so much. I think this Asos dress comes pretty close. It definitely needs a belt and there's something about the hemline I'm not loving, but it has potential. What do you think?

You Need This Dress

This dress is so hot.  Normally Marc by Marc Jacobs isn't my thing,  but this totally rocks. Red isn't my color, but someone else should buy it and wear it these shoes, since we're already dreaming.
And this bracelet.

Korres Spring Cleansing Sale

Korres the environmentally friendly Greek skin care and beauty product company has some fantastic deals right now on their website. This week they are offering 15 - 20% off all their face cleansers, body scrubs and shower gels. I stumbled upon the sale when I went to purchase more of their fantastic White Tea Cleanser.

I went a little overboard and bought some Basil Lemon Body Milk even though it wasn't on sale. I'm sure it smells fantastic.

Bridge & Burn Spring 2011

Bridge and Burn's Spril 2011 collection is now available online. I'm especially into the Navy Thompson jacket but wouldn't say no to the great short-sleeve collared shirts either. I just wish I hadn't waited to buy the fantasic green hoodie they had on sale.

Erin Fetherston Sale!!!

The few items left online from the Erin Fetherston Fall 2010 collection are on final sale for $75. There isn't a whole lot of selection, but everything is really cute. Please don't pair whatever you buy with the depressing boots from the runway show. They make me sad just looking at them.
*Designer sizes = tiny; purchase accordingly.

Mmmm Pizza

On Saturday afternoon the mister and I hit up Pupatella Pizza in Arlington, VA. I meant to take a picture before we started eating, but it looked and smelled so fantastic, I couldn't wait. This is the Prosciutto Arugula and it was even better than it looks. The fresh mozzarella, peppery arugula, sweet yet flavorful sauce and salty prosciutto all tasted amazing but it was the super light and airy crust that made this pizza worth crossing the river for. It's hard to compare with the other amazing pizza I've eaten in the area. But the atmosphere is a lot more fun than Two Amys without the hour long wait for a table.

I've heard Pupatella can get really crowded at night. We came in just at the end of the lunch rush and had to wait an excruciatingly long time for our pizza, or at least it felt that way. It was probably only 10 or 15 minutes. This is not the kind of place for a romantic dinner, but the staff is friendly, the food is amazing and the decor is fun.  If I lived a little closer, I'd be here at least once a week.  I'm hoping the pizza movement continues in the DC area and there are more amazing places like this one to come.

We May Have a Winner!

This backpack from Chapel Clothing is fantastic. Plus their motto is Better by Bicycle. I love that. As soon as I find out how to order one from Cape Town, I'll let you know.

Wow Wundervoll

This lingerie from German company Wundervoll is some pretty sexy stuff. Most of the line is 100 percent silk and expertly crafted to be incredibly comfortable to wear. It is difficult to find in the USA and not inexpensive stuff, but it might be worth investing in a couple of key pieces.
